First Time Going North
September 20th, I headed north for the first time, riding a fast train with a gentle breeze. The train crossed mountains and rivers, left the bustling south and stepped into the vast land of the north.
The sky here is particularly peaceful, so blue that it seems a bit white. The vast expanse of land stretches endlessly, with occasional villages and rice fields dotted among them. On the train in the vast land, I seemed to merge into the nature.
Chasing Culture
On September 22nd, I came to the Forbidden City in Beijing, exploring the world and objects of this palace, tracing the origins of history and culture. The Forbidden City is magnificent, with vermilion columns and golden walls, and colored glazed windows. It stands on the earth and is reflected by the blue sky.
In this magnificent palace, I seemed to enter a great history book, witnessing the glorious and decline of the enlightenment era, and feeling the cultural accumulation and treasure in the Forbidden City.
Leave North China Again
On September 25th, the third day of the lunar calendar of Yi Hai, I set foot on the return journey and bid farewell to this vast land. The scenery and atmosphere of the north will stay in my heart for a long time. At the moment of parting, tears filled my chest, and I hoped that the ancient music would be played at the farewell. The distant scenery and hometown’s deep affection are waiting for the dream in my heart to awaken again.
\"Thinking of you is like the full moon, night after night the brightness diminishes,\" and I will never forget the chill in the north.
