一、单词记忆

select这个单词是由两部分组成的，前面一部分se是“分开”的意思，这个我们可以用second这个单词记忆一下，second表示“第二”，一分为二，所以se是“分开”的意思。后面的lect是“挑选”的意思，这个我们可以根据以前学过的collect来记忆，这个单词前面的col是“共同，一起”的意思，后面的lect是“挑选”的意思，挑选到一起，collect就是“收集”的意思。

注意是several，choose的选择范围很小

select和choose的意思差不多，区别就是同类的，然后范围大了一点。

3.elect：When people elect someone, they choose that person to represent them, by voting for them. 选举（牛津选必修2U2 人教选修8U1）

vote是投票的意思，所以elect这种选举是经过投票产生的，而且这里用的是people而不是像另外两个单词用的you，所以这种选举是大范围的。

He was elected by the people and is responsible for them.

他是人民选举出来的，要对人民负责。
